The third season of our yearlong exhibition Seasons of Beauty: Thirty-two Aspects of Daily Life will be on view in the Special Exhibitions Gallery on the second floor of the Lenora and Walter F. Brown Asian Art Wing from April 20 to July 4. The third season presents prints 17-24 of the 32 prints comprising this famous series that documents the lives of women in 18th-19th century Japan . Prints in the third season feature women in diverse activities such as dining, shopping, and playing music. These prints, which are on special loan from Lenora and Walter F. Brown, are among the greatest works by the important print artist Taiso Yoshitoshi (1839-1892).
