2017 Summer Art Camp

Art camps are led by professional artist-educators and include tours of the museum, instruction in a variety of art techniques and media, and storytelling. Tuition covers materials, snacks, and a sketchbook in a canvas tote bag. Caregivers provide lunch and transportation for students.

Drawing and Painting the Museum (Ages 9-11)

Discover treasures inside and outside the Museum and capture them on canvas and paper.  Explore new and interesting techniques for drawing and painting in a fun and creative environment.

Paint and Clay (Ages 6-8)

Dig into creative ways to work with clay and express ourself with paint as you explore how the Japanese, Maya and other cultures use these materials in fascinating ways.

Dragons, Heroes and Monsters (Ages 8-10)

Dragons, ancient warriors, jaguars, and other captivating characters come to life in this action-packed camp.  Use clay, paint, collage and more as you listen to myths and legends and create a new mythical monster of your owns.
